Northern Border Regional Commission Announces Webinar Series focused on Workforce Opportunity for Rural Communities Grants
Webinar series will include eligibility and application information for the Workforce Opportunity for Rural Communities program, available in the Northern Border region for the first time.
The Northern Border Regional Commission (NBRC) is excited to announce a series of webinar information sessions hosted by both the U.S. Department of Labor (DoL), and the NBRC, in collaboration with its technical assistance provider, Chamberlin/Dunn. The webinars will provide program details in support of the Workforce Opportunity for Rural Communities (WORC) program, for which program materials are now available online. The program supports initiatives directed at workforce development partnerships in support of local and regional workforces’ employment and training needs, while also recognizing the need to expand access to supportive services.
The first session will be hosted by the DoL, on Friday, May 12, 2023, from 10:30AM – 12:00PM, via Zoom. Interested parties should register via the DoL’s WFGPS platform in advance. The webinar will be recorded and available online for those unable to make the 10:30AM event on the 12th.
Additionally, along with its technical assistance provider, Chamberlin/Dunn, the NBRC is hosting a technical assistance series for potential applicants in Maine, New Hampshire, New York and Vermont, to address specific components of the 2023 WORC funding opportunity. This series of webinars will be held the weeks of May 15 and May 22. See registration links for each webinar in the descriptions below.
