Congratulations on your invitation to submit an NBRC program application! The application process is open to prospective grantees who have successfully completed their pre-application requirements and have been invitied to advance to the application round. The following resources and workshops are designed to provide you with the assistance you need when applying for the NBRC's Catalyst, Forest Economy, or Timber for Transit programs.

Application Workshop Resources

Application Office Hours (All Programs)
Thursday, April 17  | 10 AM - 11 AM 

This office hours session is reserved for projects preparing to submit an application to the Catalyst, Forest Economy, or Timber for Transit programs in the Spring, 2025 grant round. Come prepared with any questions related to the GMS, application, required forms, etc.

NBRC Application Information Session
(All Programs)

These sessions will provide an in-depth presentation of the Program Application details including highlighting pre-application feedback, application information and requirements, scoring, GMS overview and NBRC available resources. Participants will leave with the information needed to prepare and submit applications for Forest EconomyTimber for Transit and Catalyst programs.

In this workshop, NBRC staff covers all budget related pre-application and application requirements, from calculating match to developing a budget narrative to completing the detailed SF424cbw budget, and more!  View the PDF

Application Workshop #2: The Technical Proposal – Approach and Methodology, Economic Impacts, Project Readiness, Capacity and Qualifications
This session focuses on the elements of the technical proposal. NBRC staff cover guidance and best practices for each of the narrative questions in the application. We highlight what narrative information gets carried over from the pre-application. At completion, funded projects will be asked to report on the project’s success in meeting the goals and outcomes set at time of application. In this session, we cover how to set realistic yet competitive economic development goals. View the PDF
